Electronic Security Systems Certification will demonstrate compliance with the ACPO(S) unified policy on Police Response to Security Systems alarms. It will enable cetificated companies to a Unique Reference Number (URN) and therefore a Police response to alarms.
SSAIB certificated companies enjoy insurance approval and third party certification helps you to demonstrate your confidence and competence as a professional installer.
Overview of scheme requirements, you must:
- Install and maintain equipment in accordance with the relevant British and/or European Standards.
- Have appropriate management systems and procedures in place.
- Have relevant personnel security screened.
- Meet specified financial criteria and be financially stable.
- Have appropriate insurance cover.
- Have suitable premises, equipment and vehicles.
- Have trained staff and implement training procedures.
- Have sufficient systems installed and/or monitored to allow a trading history to be demonstrated.
- Provide 24 hour service and repair cover.
