	SSAIB's security systems certification scheme covers the following areas: Intruder Alarms CCTV Systems Access Control Systems

We also operate a number of schemes covering monitoring services, which covers Alarm Receiving Centres and Detector Activated Remote Monitored CCTV.

Certification against this SSAIB scheme will demonstrate compliance with ACPO and ACPO (Scotland) policies on Police response to security systems alarms. It will enable certificate companies to obtain a Unique Reference Number (URN) and therefore a Police response to alarms generate by the systems installed.

This scheme is recognised by insurers and SSAIB is accredited to operate it by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). UKAS Accreditation means that our approach is subject to independent scrutiny and validation against international standards.
