Security Services Lead Auditor

Location: UK

Salary: Competitive

Type: Full Time

Shape the Standards of the Security Industry

SSAIB is the UK's leading certification body for the security and safety sector, trusted by over 2,000 companies nationwide. Our certification is a recognised mark of excellence — and we're looking for a driven professional to help uphold it.

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Full-Time Lead Auditor** to join our team, covering a broad and varied portfolio:

The company currently has a vacancy for a full-time lead auditor to conduct audits for the following activities:

  • Security Services — guarding, door supervision, keyholding, mobile patrols, and more
  • ISO Management Systems — 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental), and 45001 (Health & Safety)
  • SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) assessments

What You'll Be Doing

You'll conduct third-party certification, surveillance, and recertification audits, playing a central role in maintaining the integrity of the security industry. Working independently and as part of a wider team, you'll ensure every audit meets SSAIB, UKAS, and SIA standards with precision and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

You're a confident, detail-oriented professional with a background in the security industry. Strong report writing skills and comfort with MS Office (Word, Excel) are essential. Prior auditing experience is a bonus, but not a barrier — we provide full training to set you up for success.

The Role & Lifestyle

This is a home-based role with extensive travel across the UK and Ireland, including regular overnight stays — ideal for someone who thrives on variety and autonomy. A valid driving licence is required, and candidates based near the M4 corridor or London are preferred. Some flexibility around working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, will be needed.

✔ Competitive salary
✔ Company car
✔ Mobile phone & personal computer
✔ Pension scheme
✔ Full professional training and development
