Security Services Lead- Auditor

SSAIB is the leading certification body specialising in providing certification services to the security and safety industry. Our scope of activity includes the certification of organisations supplying security systems and services, fire safety equipment and services and alarm monitoring. Certification with SSAIB is a mark of excellence and, with over 2000 small and larger companies registered, we represent the greatest number of security service providers in the sector.

The company currently has a vacancy for a full-time lead auditor to conduct audits for the following activities:

•Security Services (such as guarding, door supervision, keyholding, mobile patrols, etc)

•ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental and 45001 Health and Safety Management Systems

•Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) assessments

Duties will include conducting third-party certification, surveillance, reverification, recertification and renewal audits primarily for the activities above, ensuring audits are completed in accordance with relevant quality procedures and that SSAIB, UKAS and SIA requirements as applicable are met.

This role will suit a confident and determined professional who can work as part of a team and as an individual under their own initiative The successful applicant must have an eye for attention to detail, have good report writing skills and be confident with MS Office tools (e.g. Word, Excel). Applicants should have previous security industry-related experience, while auditing experience and knowledge of the activities above are desirable. Training will be provided.

The position is home-based but requires extensive travel – and regular overnight stays – across the UK and Ireland. Therefore, applicants must be willing to work away from home and hold a valid driving licence.  Ideally, applicants will live close to the M4 corridor, northeast, or the London area. You will be required to work flexible hours – which may include out-of-hours and weekends.
