Event timeline
- Competition registration closes with all entry stage assessments completed/submitted: Friday 27th March 2026
- Competitors made aware they are successful by no later than Tuesday 31st March 2026 - communication to include Qualifier specifications and drawings
- The Security Event Qualifiers: Tuesday 28th April 2026 – Thursday 30th April 2026
- Competitors made aware of whether they have been successful in reaching the final by no later than Friday 29th May 2026
Competition format:
The qualifier stage of this competition is designed to reflect the role of an installation engineer within the Fire & Security industry, aligning with the standards expected in the field. Competitors will be tested on their working knowledge of system standards, as well as their ability to identify and resolve common engineering challenges.
3 heats, running over 3 days
Each competitor will take over a partially installed Conventional Fire Alarm, Intrusion Detection system and an access control system, where they will demonstrate their installation and programming skills to produce fully functioning systems in-line with best practices and industry standards.
