PSTN Switch Off: Important Industry Survey Request

01/09/2023

The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) invites Alarm Installers and Alarm Receiving Centres to participate in a crucial industry survey regarding the transition from the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to a fully digital network in the UK, led by Openreach. This transition is set to be completed by the end of 2025, making every phone line in the UK digital and routed over IP.

The switch to a digital network may impact some alarm systems currently connected to the PSTN, but professional installers will guide their clients on any necessary actions or upgrades.

The objective of this survey is to assess the current state of migrations from the PSTN network and to understand the challenges faced by industry professionals. Your insights are invaluable.

Completing the survey takes just a few minutes, and your responses will be kept confidential and used solely for an industry-wide report by the BSIA technical team.  This survey is part of our campaign to raise awareness of the PSTN switch-off among industry stakeholders, and organisations influencing the telecommunications sector.

Please take a moment to complete the survey at BSIA Industry Survey.

The survey closes on the 15th of September 2023, and we thank you for your participation.
