SSAIB Appoints New Technical Manager

SSAIB, the leading certification body for security and fire industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Lampett as the new Technical Manager, effective January 2024.

In his role as Technical Manager, Steve will play a pivotal part in upholding SSAIB's esteemed position for technical competence in the certification of security and fire services.  His responsibilities will also extend to promoting and maintaining high standards of service within these industries.

Steve Lampett brings to SSAIB a wealth of experience, boasting over 35 years in the fire and security industry. His extensive background includes a noteworthy tenure of over 20 years with Tyco, where he gained invaluable expertise. In addition, Steve successfully managed his own business and most recently, he contributed significantly to the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) for over 8 years, holding the position of Technical Manager.

During his time at BSIA, Steve played a crucial role in coordinating BSIA Sections, developing Codes of Practice and guidelines, and providing technical advice. His responsibilities also encompassed managing activities related to environmental compliance, showcasing his versatile skill set. Steve has been a key figure in the development of industry standards, regularly chairing meetings for the formulation of BSI (British Standards) and European standards. His commitment to excellence is further evidenced by his frequent participation as a speaker at various industry events.

Steve Lampett's vast experience and deep expertise perfectly align with SSAIB's principles, making him a valuable addition to the team.
